Holman Bible Dictionary
(al tassh' hehth) (NAS) or AL-TASCHITH (KJV). Word in Psalm title (Psalm 57:1; Psalm 58:1; Psalm 59:1; Psalm 75:1 ) transliterated letter for letter from Hebrew to English by NAS and KJV but translated, “Do not destroy” by NIV and RSV. This may indicate the tune to which the people sang the Psalm.
