(behn) Hebrew noun meaning, “son of.” A Levite who became head of a clan of Temple porters under David (1 Chronicles 15:18 NAS, KJV). Other translations follow the Septuagint or earliest Greek translation and some Hebrew manuscripts that omit Ben.
