Holman Bible Dictionary
(behth-ahr' behl) Place name meaning, “house of Arbel.” Sight of infamous battle Hosea could use as example of what would happen to Israel (Hosea 10:14 ). The battle is unknown to us. The site may be Irbid in Gilead, four miles northwest of Tiberius. See Shalman .
