Beth-Maacah
Holman Bible Dictionary
(behth-may' uh cah) (NAS, NRSV) or BETH-MAACHAH (KJV) Place name meaning, “house of Maacah” or “house of pressure.” Usually appears as Abel Beth-Maacah (always so in NIV). See Abel-Beth-Maacah. Form Beth-Maacah apparently appears as final stop on Sheba's trip through Israel to gain support against David (2 Samuel 20:14 ).
