Chrysoprase
Holman Bible Dictionary
The mineral forming the tenth stone of the foundation of the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:20 ). The Greek word literally means, “green leek.” The stone is apple-green, fine-grained hornstone or quartz colored with nickel oxide and is highly translucent. It may be closer to modern chalcedony than any other modern mineral. See Jewels.
