Holman Bible Dictionary
(crihss' puhss) Personal name meaning, “curly.” Leader of synagogue in Corinth (Acts 18:8 ) and one of few whom Paul personally baptized (1 Corinthians 1:14 ). Church tradition says he became bishop of Aegina.
