(ehl' ih ay' ssah) Personal name meaning, “God acted,” or “God made,” using same Hebrew spelling as Elasah. 1. A member of clan of Jerahmeel in tribe of Judah (1 Chronicles 2:39-40 ). 2 . A descendant of Saul and Jonathan in tribe of Benjamin (1 Chronicles 8:37; 1 Chronicles 9:43 ).
