Holman Bible Dictionary
(ih li' z uhr) Personal name meaning, “God is a rock.” Leader of tribe of Reuben under Moses in the wilderness (Numbers 1:5 ). He presented the tribe's offerings at the dedication of the altar (Numbers 7:30-35 ).
