Holman Bible Dictionary
(ehl tih' kahn) Place name meaning, “securing advice.” Village in tribal territory of Judah in southern hill country (Joshua 15:59 ). Its location is unknown, though some have suggested khirbet ed-Deir west of Bethlehem.
