Hermogenes
Holman Bible Dictionary
(huhr mahj' ih neess) Personal name meaning, “born of Hermes.” Follower who deserted Paul, apparently while he was in prison in Ephesus (2 Timothy 1:15 ). Paul's statement indicates acute disappointment in Hermogenes but does not say he became an apostate. Nothing else is known of him.
