Hethlon
Holman Bible Dictionary
(hehth' lahn) Place name of unknown meaning on the northern border of Israel's Promised Land, according to Ezekiel's vision (Ezekiel 47:15 ). Some see the word as a scribe's Hebrew abbreviation for mountain of Lebanon. Others see it as another name or a scribal change for Lebo-hamath (Numbers 34:8 ). Others would identify it as modern Heitela, northeast of Tripoli, two and a half miles south of Nahr el-Kebir. Ezekiel pointed to a road near this place, perhaps the important transportation road otherwise known as Eleutheros.
