Horonaim
Holman Bible Dictionary
(hahr oh nay' ihm) Place name meaning, “twin caves.” Prominent town in Moab upon which Isaiah (Isaiah 15:5 ) and Jeremiah (Jeremiah 48:3 ,Jeremiah 48:3,48:5 ,Jeremiah 48:5,48:34 ) pronounced laments, warning of coming destruction. It apparently lay in the southwestern part of Moab, but students of biblical geography debate its exact location. Suggestions include khirbet ad-Dubababout three miles west northwest of Majra; khirbet al-Maydan, west of modern Katrabba, and ed-Dayr, about two miles northwest of Rakin.
