Iob
Holman Bible Dictionary
(i' ohb) Personal name of uncertain meaning but of different Hebrew spelling than the biblical sufferer Job, a difference not made in KJV. Son of Issachar, according to Genesis 46:13; but a copyist apparently omitted one Hebrew letter, the name appearing as Jashub in Samaritan Pentateuch and some Greek manuscripts of Genesis (followed by NRSV, NIV, TEV) and in Numbers 26:24; 1 Chronicles 7:1 . See Jashub .
