Holman Bible Dictionary
(jahssh bih kay' sshuh) Personal name meaning, “to live in misfortune.” A Levite musician from clan of Heman, the seer, under David (1 Chronicles 25:4 ). He headed the seventeenth course or division of Temple musicians (1 Chronicles 25:24 ).
