Kain
Holman Bible Dictionary
(kay n) A tribe and place name meaning, “smith. 1. A clan mentioned in the fourth oracle of Balaam (Numbers 24:22; KJV has Kenite). Adam and Eve's son Cain is spelled the same in Hebrew, and many scholars regard Cain as the ancestors of the Kenites. See Joshua 15:57; KJV and NEB have Cain). Identified with khirbet Yaqin. According to Arabian tradition, Abraham watched the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah from a nearby hill. Kain was a settlement of the Kenites.
