Kedemoth
Holman Bible Dictionary
(kehd' ih muhth) Place name meaning, “ancient places” or “eastern places.” One of the Levitical cities in the tribal territory of Reuben assigned to the family of Merari (Joshua 13:18; Joshua 21:37; 1 Chronicles 6:79 ). See Deuteronomy 2:26 ). The city is associated with either Kasr ez-Za'feran or khirbet er Remeil. Both of these cities are in the same vicinity and were in existence in Abraham's day.
