Lehi
Holman Bible Dictionary
(lee' hi) Place name meaning “chin” or “jawbone.” City where Samson killed 1,000 Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey and where God provided water from the jawbone (Judges 15:1 ). Many interpreters read 2 Samuel 23:11 as occurring at Lehi (TEV, NRSV, REB). The site was apparently in Judah near Beth-shemesh.
