Maroth
Holman Bible Dictionary
(may' rahth) Place name meaning “bitter” or “bitter fountain.” Town in lowlands of Judah which would be attacked as invading armies approached Jerusalem (Micah 1:12 ). The town is perhaps identical with Maarath (Joshua 15:59 ).
