Nephew
Holman Bible Dictionary
1. The son of one's brother or sister. KJV never used nephew in this sense. NAS and NIV used nephew in this sense for Lot (Genesis 12:5; Genesis 14:12 ). 2 . When KJV was translated, nephew was used in the broader sense of a lineal descendant, especially a grandson (Judges 12:14; Job 18:19; Isaiah 14:22; 1 Timothy 5:4 ).
