Holman Bible Dictionary
NAS and RSV translation of an obscure Hebrew term used only in Deborah's song of victory (Judges 5:7 ,Judges 5:7,5:11 ). KJV, NIV, TEV followed the targum (Aramaic paraphrase) and Syriac version in reading villages. REB read champion. Various commentators have suggested leading class, warriors, and strength as possible meanings.
