Pihahiroth
Holman Bible Dictionary
(pi huh hi' rahth) Hebrew place name derived from the Egyptian, “house of Hathor” and interpreted in Hebrew as “mouth of canals.” Pihahiroth lay in the eastern Nile delta to the east of Baal-zephon. The site is unknown. The Israelites encamped at Pihahiroth in the early days of the Exodus (Exodus 14:2 ,Exodus 14:2,14:9; Numbers 33:7 ). The alternate form Hahiroth appears at Numbers 33:8 .
