Holman Bible Dictionary
(rohssh) Personal name meaning, “head” or “chief.” Seventh son of Benjamin (Genesis 46:21 ). The earliest Greek translation regards Rosh as a son of Bela, hence Benjamin's grandson. The name is absent in parallel lists of Benjamin's sons (Numbers 26:38-39 ); 1 Chronicles 8:1-5 ).
