Holman Bible Dictionary
(sshyoop' pim) Personal name of uncertain meaning and plural form in Hebrew. Apparently a son of Benjamin (1 Chronicles 7:12 ) but related to Machir in 1 Chronicles 7:15 . The Chronicles texts apparently have experienced loss of words through copying. REB emends the text so that Shuppim is not included. See Shupham .
