Holman Bible Dictionary
KJV, NAS, REB RSV translation of a Hebrew term meaning, “hands,” applied to projections designed to fit into a mortice or socket to form a joint (Exodus 26:17 ,Exodus 26:17,26:19; Exodus 36:22 ,Exodus 36:22,36:24 ). Other translations employ, “projections”(NIV, TEV) or “pegs” (NRSV).
