Holman Bible Dictionary
(thee' baz) Likely Tubas, thirteen miles northeast of Shechem where the roads from Shechem and Dothan converge to lead down to the Jordan Valley. During the seige of Thebez, a woman of the city fatally wounded Abimelech by throwing an upper millstone on his head (Judges 9:50-53; 2 Samuel 11:21 ).
