Noisome
Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible
NOISOME. ‘Noisome’ is literally ‘annoy-some.’ The adj. means ‘offensive,’ ‘injurious’ in AV [Note: Authorized Version.]; the word is now rather rarely used, but when it is used it means ‘loathsome’ rather than ‘hurtful.’
