Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible

STACTE ( nâtâph , Exodus 30:34 [cf. Sir 24:15 ], lit. ‘drop,’ cf. Job 36:27 ). Some fragrant gum collected in drops, either storax, or, more probably, myrrh.
