TIMNATH . A strong city built by Bacchides ( 1Ma 9:50 ). It is possibly the Thamna of Jos. [Note: Josephus.] BJ III. iii. 5, the mod. Tibneh , some 10 miles N.W. of Bethel. Cf. Timnath-serah.
