Morrish Bible Dictionary
Name in its uncontracted form given to Joshua by 'Moses. He "called OSHEA the son of Nun Jehoshua," thus altering his name from 'Deliverance' to 'Jehovah is Saviour.' Numbers 13:16; 1 Chronicles 7:27 .
