Abduction
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
(Latin: abducere, to lead away)
Also known as rape; force, or violence. A diriment matrimonial impediment. It consists in the forcible carrying off or detention of a woman against her will, and it renders a marriage with her invalid so long as she remains in the power of the abductor.
