Acquaviva, Rudolph, Blessed
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Missionary Born on October 2, 1550 in Atri, Italy; martyred on July 25, 1583 in Cuncolim, India. A nephew of Claudius Acquaviva. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1568, and arrived at Goa, India in 1578. He spent three years at the court of the Great Mogul. While preparing the site of a new church, he was slain with several companions. Beatified on April 16, 1893.
