Prefecture apostolic of Broken Hill, Rhodesia, Africa; established July 14, 1927; entrusted to the care of the Polish Jesuits. Name changed to the Prefecture Apostolic of Lusaka on June 13, 1946. Elevated to the Vicariate Apostolic of Lusaka on July 14, 1950. Elevated to the Archdiocese of Lusaka on April 25, 1959. See also:
