Abbot, Bishop of Begerin, Wexford, Ireland; died c500 A native of Ulster, he preached Christianity in the south, and later became a disciple of Saint Patrick, by whom he was consecrated to his episcopate. He became spiritual director of Saint Brigid's convent at Kildare, and about 480 he settled at Begerin where he built an oratory and cell, around which numerous disciples gathered. Feast, April 23,.
