Five religious of the Society of Jesus, accompanied by some Christians, who were surrounded by pagan villagers of Cuncolim, India, and put to death, July 25, 1583. They included Fathers Rudolph Acquaviva, Alphonsus Pacheco, Peter Berno, and Anthony Francis, also Francis Aranha, lay brother.
