Ahiah

People's Dictionary of the Bible

Ahiah (a-hî'ah), friend of Jehovah. 1. Supposed by some to be the same with Abimelech, 1 Samuel 21:1, was the son of Ahitub, and his successor in the priest's office. 1 Samuel 14:3; 1 Samuel 14:18. See Ahimelech and Ahitub. 2. Ahiah (A. V.), or, Ahijah (R. V.), son of Shisha, one of Solomon's scribes. 1 Kings 4:3. 3. A descendant of Benjamin. 1 Chronicles 8:7.
