Vine's Expository Dictionary of NT Words
"a yoke" (akin to zeugnumi, "to yoke"), is used (a) of beasts, Luke 14:19; (b) of a pair of anything; in Luke 2:24 , of turtledoves. See YOKE.
Note: In Revelation 6:5 , AV, zugos, a yoke (akin to zeugos), is translated "a pair of balances" (RV, "a balance"). See BALANCE , YOKE. Copyright Statement
