Kora

1911 Encyclopedia Britannica

or Cora, an ancient town of Northern India, in the Fatehpur district of the United Provinces. Pop. (1901), 2806. As the capital of a Mahommedan province, it gave its name to part of the tract (with Allahabad) granted by Lord Clive' to the titular Mogul emperor, Shah Alam, in 1765.
