(1) An Asaphite musician (1 Chronicles 25:2 , 1 Chronicles 25:12 ).
(2) A L evite who accompanied the princes sent by Jehoshaphat to teach in the cities of Judah (2 Chronicles 17:8 ).
(3) The father of Jehudi (Jeremiah 36:14 ).
(4) The father of Ishmael, the murderer of Gedaliah (Jeremiah 40:8 , Jeremiah 40:14 , Jeremiah 40:15; 41, 11 t; 2 Kings 25:23 , 2 Kings 25:25 ). Some manuscripts of Septuagint read here Maththanı́as .
