Adams, John Watson, D.D.

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Presbyterian minister, was born at Simsbury, Conn.. Dec. 6, 1796. He was converted on 1816, graduated at Hamilton College :in 1822, and afterwards studied in the Auburn Theological Seminary. In 1826 he was installed pastor of :the First Presbyterian Church in Syracuse, N. Y., where he remained until his death, April 6,1850. After his death there was published a duodecimo volume of his Discourses, in connection with a Memoir of his life and character, by the Rev. Joel Parker, D.D. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer.
