Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Hebrew Achiam', אֲחַיאָם, mother's brother, perh. for Achiab', אֲחַיאָב, father's brother; Sept. Ἀχιάμ v. r. Ἀμνάν and Αχίμ ), a son of Sharar the Hararite, and one of David's thirty heroes (2 Samuel 23:33; 1 Chronicles 11:35), B.C. 1046. (See DAVID).
