a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, was born Sept. 5, 1824. He received a careful religious training; experienced religion in his sixteenth year; began to exhort in 1851; was licensed to preach in 1852; and in 1853 entered the Georgia Conference, in which he served efficiently until his death, Sept. 13, 1866.
