(Heb., Anani', עֲנָנִי , protected, or perh. a shortened form of the name Anrniah: Sept. Ἀνανί v. r. ῎Αναν ), the last named of the seven sons of Elioenai, a descendant of the royal line of David after the captivity (1 Chronicles 3:24), B.C. cir. 404.
