monk and abbot of Laube or Lobbes, in Belgium, was the author of the lives of Sts. Ursmar and Erminius, his predecessors. He succeeded the abbot Theodulfus in 776, and died in 800. The Life of St. Ursmar is interesting. as containing evidence on certain points of ecclesiastical discipline, such as the use of holy water.
