Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(Heb. Arbathi', עִרְבָתִי, Sept. Ἀραβωθίτης, but in Chronicles Σαραβεθθεί v. r. Γαραβαιθί ), an epithet of Abiel, one of David's warriors (2 Samuel 23:31; 1 Chronicles 11:32), probably as being an inhabitant of ARABAH (See ARABAH) (Joshua 15:61; Joshua 23:22).
