Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Presbyterian minister, was born near Churchville, Harford Co., Md., in September, 1842. He graduated at Dickinson College in 1861, and in 1865 at Princeton Theological Seminary. He was licensed by the Huntingdon Presbytery, and ordained and installed pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Clearfield, Pa., where he remained until death, which was occasioned by the car in which he was sleeping falling over an embankment three miles west of Pittsburgh, Jan. 12, 1869. - See Presbyterian, 1869.
