2. (Ἀσούρ v. r. Ἀσούβ, while other copies omit; Vulg. Azi.) One of the heads of the "temple servants," whose descendants are said to have returned from Babylon (1 Esdras 5:31), doubtless a corruption for the HARHUR (See HARHUR) (q.v.) of the true text (Ezra 2:51).
