Baptista (Battista) Of Ferarra,

surnamed Pancetius, an Italian monk of the Order of Carmelites, lived in the latter half of the 15th century. Versed in literature, both sacred and profane, he left a number of works, for the most part unpublished, among which we cite, Chronica sui Ordinis: De Ruina Romani Imperii: De Monte Sina: Vita Mechildis: Chronica Ferrariensis: Sermones Varii.He also translated into Latin several discourses of St. John Chrysostom.
