Barber, Daniel Montgomery
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a Presbyterian minister, was born in Montour County, Pa., March 16, 1800. He graduated from Washington College, Pa., in: 1824, and was ordained Nov. 21, 1827, by Northumberland Presbytery as an evangelist, and appointed to labor on the Susquehanna river. In 1833 he accepted a call to the First Church, Williamsport, Pa., and after 1858 labored in other places. He died at Milton, Pa., Oct. 30, 1865. See Wilson, Presb. Hist. Almanac, 1867, p. 122; Gen.
