Barile, Giovanni Domenico
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
an Italian theologian, lived in the early half of the 18th century. He belonged to the Order of Theatines, and distinguished himself as a preacher. He wrote, Le Moderne Conversazioni Giudicate nel Tribunale Coscienza (Ferrara and Rome, 1716): — Scuola di Teologi che Verita Ape-ta al Mondo Cristiano d' oggidl, osia l' Amor Platonico Smascherato (Modena, 1716; published under the anagram of Nicodemo Belari).
