Beckwith, James

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

an English Wesleyan minister, was born in Durham in 1796. He was piously trained, converted in early life; entered the ministry in 1814, became a supernumerary in 1827 at Pontefract, at Sunderland in 1830; in 1841 resumed the regular work; and died July 25, 1852.
